About Me

Hi!  I’m Mike Debyah, a Certified Public Accountant and an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.  I have worked in public accounting for over 10 years and have used QuickBooks software for almost all of that time.  I’ve trained hundreds of people to use the software in many different types of businesses.  I’ve done one-on-one training, taught at seminars to a group, and done tons of support live, on the phone and over the internet.

I am also an A+ and Network+ certified computer technician and have a real passion for technology and the internet.  I’ve used computers since I was a little kid and I got a Commodore 64 for Christmas one year.  I’ve been hooked on technology and computers ever since then.

A lot of accountants are stuffy and boring, but that’s just not me.  I try to be easy-going and relaxed and like to have fun!  I like to think that this comes through in my teaching style.  I don’t talk down to people just because they don’t know something.  Nobody is born with a knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping, we all had to learn it from someone else.  So feel free to ask any questions you have about my posts on this site.  While I don’t believe that there’s no such thing as a stupid question (there are definitely some stupid questions that people have asked me over the years!), I do believe that not asking a question is stupid.  Don’t worry, I won’t make fun of you…at least not too much!
